The Centre for Qualitative Research (CQR) successfully shared their findings of the study titled “Optimizing the Supply Chain and Delivery of Fortified Rice in Bangladesh.” The event brought together key representatives from government, international and national development partners, and the private sectors to discuss about the findings, insights, and policy implications derived from the study.
This study was conducted by the CQR with financial and technical support from the TechnoServe, aiming to identify opportunities for strengthening the fortified rice supply chain—from production to delivery—across Bangladesh.
The workshop featured participation from diverse stakeholders including the Ministry of Food (MoF), Directorate General of Food (DG Food), Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA), World Food Programme (WFP), Nutrition International, TechnoServe and Rice Millers Association. Their valuable insights and collaboration underscored the importance of multi-sectoral coordination to ensure access to nutritious and fortified rice for all.
The findings and recommendations shared during the session are expected to contribute significantly to improving the efficiency and sustainability of the fortified rice supply chain in Bangladesh.
